GTA’s enhanced distribution deal with The Ascott goes live 

GTA with The Ascott Limited offer even more – and more different – accommodation throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the Gulf region. GTA’s travel agent and tour operator customers can book an even greater choice of serviced apartments such as Somerset Garden City Shenzhen, Citadines Central Xi'an, Ascott Kuala Lumpur, Citadines Richmond Bangalore or Citadines Ramblas Barcelona among others. The Ascott Limited’s properties benefit from more markets, more customers and more bookings.

GTA, one of the world’s largest travel wholesalers, has launched its enhanced distribution deal with The Ascott, adding more than 100 new serviced apartments to its already extensive portfolio. With over 160 properties in key cities throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the Gulf region, The Ascott’s portfolio of three award-winning brands – Ascott, Citadines and Somerset – spans 82 cities across more than 20 countries. Particularly attractive to many of GTA’s customers will be the increasing numbers of hotels now available in China’s ‘second tier’ cities that are enjoying significant growth.

Properties are now live for retail and wholesale travel businesses to book on TravelCube, Travel Bound and GTA HTML sites or via XML feed. The deal further extends the variety of accommodation and experiences that GTA sells in over 190 countries.

GTA’s dynamic inventory approach to such partnerships strengthens its connections with hotel suppliers and those who sell travel. It gives them and their consumer clients’ access to a chain’s full portfolio of properties including the ‘long tail’ of accommodation in less familiar locations. With travellers increasingly seeking out newer destinations off the beaten track, GTA can help hotels tap the popularity of experiential tourism. In the last three years alone, deals with 80 chains have added more than 30,000 properties to the inventory that agents and tour operators can sell on.
